1. How to Use
- Upload CR3 (Canon RAW) files from newer EOS cameras (EOS R, M50, R5, R6, etc.). Supports batch conversion.
- Set output quality (1–100%) and click Convert to JPG. The embedded JPEG preview is extracted from the CR3 container.
- CR3 uses ISO Base Media format. Download converted files individually or use Download All / Download as ZIP.
2. How It Works
CR3 is Canon's modern RAW format based on ISO Base Media (similar to HEIF/MP4). It contains an embedded JPEG preview for the camera LCD.
The converter scans the file for JPEG data (FFD8–FFD9 markers) and extracts the largest embedded preview. No server upload—all processing runs in your browser.
The extracted preview typically includes EXIF; the browser applies orientation when displaying.
3. About CR3 to JPG
CR3 replaced CR2 in Canon's EOS R, EOS M, and newer DSLR lines. It supports both lossless and compact (CRAW) raw compression.
Converting CR3 to JPG extracts the embedded preview—ideal for quick sharing or when full raw development isn't needed.
